Stock cover with a basis

How long stock lasts and why: balance, open orders and planning parameters from the business system, not a spreadsheet from last Friday.

How you work it in Colleag

  1. 1

Ask: how long will stock of this article last?

  2. 2

The colleague reads balance, open orders, incoming deliveries and the planning parameters, including planned annual volume.

  3. 3

Review the answer: days of cover and which basis the figure rests on.

  4. 4

Save as a dashboard for the critical articles.

A worked example

“How long will stock of PCB 230010 last, and when do we need to order?”

The cover in days with the basis reported: planned annual volume or actual consumption, incoming deliveries with dates, and the reorder point against the balance. The answer says which basis applies instead of mixing them silently.

The material

  • Balance and warehouses in the business system
  • Open purchase and customer orders
  • The planning parameters on the article card

You approve

Everything the colleague produces is a proposal with sources. Nothing is published, sent or saved to the archive without a human approving it, and every figure traces to its material.
