ABC and lead times

Codes and lead times against actual outcomes, with proposed new values to update in the article register.

How you work it in Colleag

  1. 1

Ask the colleague to review the ABC coding and the lead times.

  2. 2

The colleague reads consumption and value per article plus registered lead times against actual outcomes.

  3. 3

Review: articles in the wrong class and lead times that deviate.

  4. 4

Update the values in the business system from the proposals.

A worked example

“Help me review the ABC coding and lead times on purchased articles.”

The articles whose consumption value does not match their class, and the lead times where the registered value deviates from delivery outcomes, with proposed new values per article. The basis is reported so you can trust the proposal or reject it.

The material

  • Consumption and value per article
  • Registered lead times on the article cards
  • Delivery outcomes from the purchase orders

You approve

Everything the colleague produces is a proposal with sources. Nothing is published, sent or saved to the archive without a human approving it, and every figure traces to its material.
