Manufacturing
Material ready before start
What is missing for the next order, before it is released to the floor instead of when the line stops.
How you work it in Colleag
- 1
Ask: are we material-ready for the order?
- 2
The colleague reads the routing, stock of included articles and incoming deliveries.
- 3
Review the shortages and the dates.
- 4
Release the order when the picture is green, or chase the right things.
A worked example
“Are we production-ready for the order of 500 units?”
The material picture per included article: stock against need, incoming with dates and the shortages on top. The answer is concrete: this is missing, this arrives Thursday, this has no date.

Screenshot from Colleag. The example uses invented figures.
The material
- The routing and the BOM
- Stock per included article
- Incoming purchase orders with dates
You approve
Everything the colleague produces is a proposal with sources. Nothing is published, sent or saved to the archive without a human approving it, and every figure traces to its material.
